Hi, I'm Alicia! I've dedicated my professional life to supporting families in their journey through parenthood. I have provided support in various positions and organizations centered around early childhood education for over 15 years—in positions ranging from early interventionist to inclusive preschool program manager. In order to fully support families, I became a Certified Labor Doula in addition to a Certified Infant Feeding Specialist. Most recently, I added Certified VBAC Specialist to my credentials as a way to help clients navigate the nuances of vaginal birth after cesarean.
My desire to support expecting and postpartum families emerged as I embarked on my parenting journey in 2016. I marveled at the various resources available throughout pregnancy but found that support and resources became much more nuanced once baby is born—I understand how that can feel overwhelming, or downright lonely, at times. As the 4th generation of birth worker in my family, I understand how important birth work is as it supports the very beginning of the family experience. I believe birth is not just about welcoming a baby—it's about building strong, supported families and thriving communities from the very beginning.
Through relationship building and attuning to each client's needs, I provide detailed and attentive educational, emotional, and physical support to families throughout pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period. When I'm not supporting families, I can be found creating organic tea blends and spending time with my amazing husband and superstar kiddos.
