Hi, I’m Alisa. I’m a mother of three and a professional pregnancy, birth, and postpartum doula who believes that while pregnancy and birth can feel scary and overwhelming, they don’t have to be.

First, congratulations Mama!
Hi, I’m Alisa. I’m a mother of three and a professional pregnancy, birth, and postpartum doula who believes that while pregnancy and birth can feel scary and overwhelming, they don’t have to be. My philosophy is simple: a gentle, grounded approach that meets you where you are. It’s built on three core ideas — agency, so you feel in charge of your choices; support, so you never feel alone; and mindset, so you can embrace the wonder and transformation of this journey. It’s not about doing it “right.” It’s about feeling confident, present, and empowered every step of the way.
Every birth carries a story, and every woman’s story deserves to be seen, heard, and honored. Whoever you are, your birth truly matters to me. Thank you for trusting me to be a small part of one of the most meaningful moments of your life as you welcome your baby into the world. On the frontlines of labor and delivery I’ve supported over 100 hospital births through my private practice, my work at UCSD Medical Center in San Diego, and my volunteer service with the U.S. Navy through Operation Doula. I continue advanced training under OB-GYN Dr. Bill Chun to maintain a high level of clinical excellence and stay current with evidence-based childbirth practices.
I support families through all types of hospital births, including inductions, unmedicated births, epidurals, and planned or unplanned cesareans. I specialize in supporting first-time and high-risk pregnancies, subsequent births, IVF journeys, VBAC and repeat cesarean preparation, twins, teen parents, and mothers healing from previous birth trauma. I’m especially mindful of prenatal anxiety, low-support environments, and medically complex labors, helping families advocate for themselves and work confidently with their care team — gentle, grounded, informed, and supported every step of the way.
I’m also the founder of Let’s Talk Birthy, a heart-centered pregnancy, birth, and postpartum education and support company. Through this work, I’ve guided thousands of women — especially first-time and high-risk mothers — from fear to preparedness, supporting safe, healthy hospital births and strong beginnings to motherhood.
