Hi, I'm Aly! I'm a Labor & Postpartum Doula, Yoga Instructor, and hold a Master's degree in Social Justice. At heart, I'm a nurturer and an advocate, and this work is truly my calling.
Clients have described me as empathetic, calm, appropriately humorous, knowledgeable, and unafraid to speak up to ensure that both the birthing person and baby are safe and comfortable. I strive to make every environment as empowering, warm, and equitable as possible.
When I'm not supporting families, I'm passionate about being a mama and partner, running, cooking, hiking my way through National Parks, finding the best lavender latte in town, and most of all, building meaningful relationships with others.
Two things are at the heart of my philosophy. First, I'm deeply passionate about informed consent, ensuring that every person feels empowered to know their options and exercise their voice during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. I'll step in to advocate if you're occupied, fatigued, or simply need an additional voice in the room, but I especially emphasize this during our prenatal sessions, so you're equipped to have the most positive, equitable birth experience possible.
Second, when it comes to postpartum support, my philosophy is simple: when everyone else just wants to hold your baby, I'm there to hold you. I support parents through proper nourishment, emotional support, and making sure your questions are answered and your needs are met, so you can care well for yourself and your baby. After all, when your baby is born, you are also born as a parent, and I'm here to hold you through that amazing (and sometimes overwhelming) shift in identity.
Overall, my goal is to nurture and empower you, keeping you well-fed, rested, and supported in your choices, so every birth and postpartum experience feels as warm, equitable, and empowering as possible.
