Hi my name is Andrea, I’m a full-spectrum doula, childbirth educator, and community builder based in California. With nearly a decade of experience supporting families across pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, my work centers trauma-informed care, cultural humility, and practical preparation. I support families who want thoughtful, grounded guidance—not fear-based advice or one-size-fits-all solutions. I am also a second-generation doula, a mother, and an educator committed to making birth support more sustainable and accessible for families.
My approach is rooted in the belief that birth is not a performance—it’s a physiological, emotional, and relational experience that deserves preparation, protection, and respect. Prenatally, I focus on education and building relationships that foster confidence rather than overwhelm. I help families understand their options, anticipate common decision points, and develop skills that support autonomy, communication, and nervous-system regulation.
During birth, my role is to offer steady, responsive support while adapting to what’s unfolding, protecting the birthing environment, and helping families feel oriented and supported regardless of how their birth progresses. I center consent, clear communication, and emotional safety alongside physical comfort. Postpartum, I approach care as essential—not optional. I support families in recovery, feeding, rest, and adjustment, with an emphasis on realistic planning, continuity of care, and reducing isolation. Across all stages, my work is informed by trauma-aware practices, cultural context, and the understanding that care works best when it is relational, practical, and grounded in trust.
