Hi! I'm Brit, and I'm an IVF, labor, birth, and postpartum doula.
I came to birth work through my fertility journey, of being a woman in a body that often confused me, years of supporting people as an end-of-life doula, and a background in gerontology and public health. I know what it feels like to move through the maze of healthcare searching for answers, trying to advocate for yourself, and needing someone in your corner. Being a patient shapes the way I show up for my clients in having an empowered experience.
I believe birth is a massive rite of passage…and should be treated as such, not as a medical event.
Whether you're navigating the throes of IVF, preparing to meet your sweet baby, healing postpartum, or simply trying to make sense of all the wild, messy, massive decisions that come with this season of life, you deserve care that is personal and rooted in your needs, values, and intuition.
A bit about me: I am an older sister, a daughter, a granddaughter, a friend, and a partner. All these relationships have taught me that THE most meaningful care is built on trust, presence, honesty, and love. I bring that same spirit into my work. I am deeply attuned, trauma-informed, and relationally focused.
I trained with Cornerstone Birthworkers, hold a Master of Public Health from the Yale School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Aging from USC. My public health background gives me a deep understanding of how our healthcare systems shape people's experiences and how systemic inequities affect who feels heard, respected, and safe within them.
At the end of the day, I believe every birthing person deserves to feel informed, empowered, respected, and deeply supported. It would be an honor to walk alongside you through this chapter of your life.
My mission as a birth doula is to be a collaborate open heart; to support my clients in staying connected to their power, sovereignty, and inner knowing during one of the most sacred transitions of their lives. I strive to offer compassionate and trauma-informed care rooted in trust, respect, and deep deep deep listening. I am committed to creating safe, affirming environments where every birthing person feels empowered to choose themselves, know their yesses and their no’s, and feel seen in their full expression.
I also take a “both/and” approach to all aspects to reproductive health, birth work and to life. I believe multiple truths often exist at once.
I believe in science, rigor, and evidence-based care. I also believe in Spirit, the earth, and our deeper inner knowing.
I believe in Western medicine and Eastern traditions. I believe in epidurals for pain management and in water births. I believe in gynecology, midwifery, and homeopathy.
I believe in compassionate, person-centered clinicians practicing evidence-based medicine, and I also believe in the power of birthing at home, in your own space, surrounded by what makes you feel safe and held.
I believe in monitoring protocols, research, and the scientific method. I also believe in intuition, ritual, astrology, embodiment, and ancestral wisdom.
I am deeply rooted in reproductive justice and equity. I believe in naming and resisting the harms caused by medical, racial, and structural inequities in birth care, while also helping clients navigate existing systems with clarity, advocacy, CHOICE, bodily autonomy, and informed consent.
To me, birth is physiological, emotional, spiritual, relational, and political all at once. I believe the care we offer families should reflect the fullness of that experience wholeheartedly.
