Diana Roth

Full Spectrum Doula

About Me

Hi, I'm Diana! I've supported families for over 32 years, a calling that began when I was a teenage babysitter fascinated by child development. I arrived in the USA in 1991 from Barranquilla, Colombia, worked at the Universal Studios Child Care Center, and then trained with my mentor, Carmen of Gyntle Touch Birth, in 1998. I also became a certified massage therapist, and over the years I've worked with hundreds of families. Along the way, I was blessed to deliver my own two children with Carmen as my birthing doula.

A not-so-well-kept secret is that my husband and I are gourmet chefs, and we offer meal preparation as an additional service many families love. I deeply respect privacy and discretion; I'm able to travel, and I work with families of all shapes and sizes. Incredibly, many of the children I've helped raise still reach out to me throughout their lives; I've been honored to attend their graduations, from elementary school all the way through graduate school.

Practice Philosophy

My doula care is rooted in a philosophy of non-judgmental, holistic support, empowering clients through informed decision-making and attentive emotional and physical care. Mine is a "being with" rather than "doing for" approach, tailored to the unique values of each individual.

I provide continuous, non-medical support prenatally, during birth, through postpartum, and even in the end-of-life process. I help families navigate care systems, foster positive communication between the client and the medical team, and ensure that your voice is always heard.

I deeply believe in my clients' capacity to make their own choices, and I offer evidence-based information to support informed decision-making, providing my support regardless of your personal choices, beliefs, or the path your experience takes. Because I work with only a small number of clients at a time, I'm able to create an environment of calm, safety, and deep personal care, where you feel fully supported, never judged, and fully seen.

I believe birth and postpartum, and every threshold in between, are sacred transitions that deserve warmth, clarity, and unwavering support. Overall, my goal is simply to be present with you, honoring your voice and your values every step of the way.
