My name is Dinorah Santana. I am a first-generation Mexican American birth worker. Proudly supporting families and their options in California. I strive to facilitate an empowered birth experience by centering and uplifting your birthing preferences, lived experiences, values, and perspectives.
In 2017, I accepted a scholarship with Birthing way College of Midwifery in Portland, OR. After becoming a full-spectrum doula, with an emphasis on community care, I continued to develop my practice and pursue ongoing education such as Placenta Encapsulation, Spinning Babies, and Built For Birth. Focusing on community-based birth work and the decolonization of our birthing spaces. I have worked with an array of clients, both religious and secular, LGBTQIA+, single-parent families, past birth trauma, surrogate births, and high-risk pregnancies. Come as you are, and I will support you as you are.
Being raised on a cul-de-sac with both my parents, grandparents, and neighborhood community, at the core, my birth work is a reflection of those experiences. When someone from our family or community was expecting, I watched every person play their role and contribute their transition earth side. I observed from a young age, my family tends to our pregnant people from prenatal care, to labor and postpartum. I strive to bring you comfort and peace of mind, all with intention to open space for self advocacy, results based comfort measures, and most importantly, room for your joy.
