About Me

Hi! I'm Ella Ryan! I'm a trained birth doula and recent graduate of UC San Diego. My commitment to birth work was ignited by my experience with the UC San Diego Hearts & Hands Doula Program, where I supported birthing people through labor and delivery. That early exposure to the power of continuous, compassionate support inspired me to become a professional doula and expand my services across San Diego County.

Born and raised in San Diego, I'm deeply honored to care for families in the community that shaped me. My approach to prenatal, birth, and postpartum support is focused on compassionate, evidence-based care. My goal is to work alongside your healthcare team to best support you and ensure that you feel empowered, dignified, respected, and heard throughout the perinatal period. Whether you're planning a hospital birth, a birth center delivery, home birth, or a scheduled cesarean, I offer care that reflects your values and supports your choices. I want to help you feel informed, empowered, and deeply supported no matter how your birth journey unfolds.

Outside of birth work, I love spending time with my family at the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park, snorkeling at La Jolla Cove, strolling through Balboa Park, baking for loved ones, training in kung fu and tai chi, and paddle boarding at Spanish Landing. I'd be honored to support you during this transformative time.
