About Me

Hi, I'm Elyde! With nearly two decades of experience supporting families, I've been serving as a doula since 2008 and working full-time in birth work since becoming certified in 2019. My approach is rooted in compassionate, culturally responsive care that honors each birthing person's autonomy and lived experience. Supporting families through this journey is truly my calling.

I'm a Certified Lactation Educator, Babywearing Educator, and Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician. My work also includes traditional bodywork, postpartum belly binding, and prenatal body balancing—including techniques inspired by Spinning Babies®—to support comfort and optimal fetal positioning.

As a parent of two, I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to the families I serve. Beyond client care, I also train and certify aspiring doulas in San Diego, helping to grow a strong, community-centered network of support.

I'm deeply passionate about birth and committed to holding space where birthing people feel respected, informed, and empowered to advocate for themselves. I believe everyone deserves care that is culturally competent, affirming, and grounded in dignity.

My philosophy is rooted in the belief that birth is a sacred portal—one that it is a true honor to be invited into. I hold a deep conviction that if every baby were met with kindness, compassion, and care from the very moment of birth, our world would be profoundly different. That belief shapes the way I show up for every family I serve.

I believe bodywork and movement are key to supporting birthing bodies, so I weave traditional bodywork, belly binding, and body balancing—including techniques inspired by Spinning Babies®—into compassionate, culturally responsive care.
