Hi, I'm Gayle! I'm a birth and postpartum doula, a longtime practitioner of transcendental meditation, and a student of Iyengar yoga. Becoming a doula has allowed me to bring together all of my life's work and experience to support and nurture women through the perinatal process, and it's truly my calling.
Before becoming a doula, I worked as a documentary filmmaker and podcast producer. I'm also a mother of four, including a set of twins, and I can honestly say that motherhood was the most transformative and profound thing I have ever experienced.
My goal is to bring that same depth of care, presence, and nurturing to you, helping you feel supported and grounded throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
My philosophy is rooted in a passion for helping women have positive birth experiences. No matter what kind of birth you have, from a hospital birth to a home birth, my goal is to help you remain calm and focused, so you can walk away feeling happy with the choices and decisions you made along the way. I meet each family where they are, honoring their unique path without judgment.
I truly see myself as an educator, an advocate, and a labor support person for the birthing and/or postpartum mother, their partner, and their family. Drawing on my background in meditation and yoga, I bring a calm, grounding presence to every birth space, helping you stay centered through one of life's most powerful transitions.
Overall, my goal is to help you feel calm, supported, and confident, proud of the choices you made as you welcome your little one.
