Hi, I'm Maribel! I'm a DONA International-certified birth doula and birth photographer based in Southern California. My work lives at the intersection of stewardship and artistry, offering both grounded support and honest, meaningful images that reflect the real story of your birth.

Whether I'm holding space at your side or quietly documenting the moment, my intention is the same: that you feel safe, seen, and empowered throughout the journey. Clients often tell me I bring a calm, reassuring energy, and photographs that help them remember not just what it looked like, but what it felt like to bring their baby into the world.

This work lights me up like no other profession ever has; it's truly my calling, and I'm honored to walk alongside you, offering heart, skill, and presence every step of the way.

Practice Philosophy

I envision a world where birth is met with presence, understanding, and respect, where each story matters, inner strength is nurtured, and the path into parenthood is honored in all its complexity.

I didn't always know what a doula was until I had one. My own pregnancy and birth changed everything. I experienced firsthand how powerful it is to feel supported, heard, and truly held during such a vulnerable time. That kind of care made all the difference, and it awakened something in me.

Now, I walk alongside others so they can feel grounded, informed, and never alone as they move through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. Overall, my goal is to offer that same presence and care I once received—so you feel safe, seen, and empowered, with your story honored every step of the way.
