Hi, I'm Lisa! I am a certified birth and postpartum doula with a background as a professional nanny. I bring a wealth of knowledge, intuition, and heart to every family I support. My lifelong passion for caring for children began early, I was already working as a full-time after-school babysitter at age eleven, and it has only deepened with time. This work is truly my calling.
I am a compassionate doula who specializes in nurturing families during labor and delivery and the tender fourth trimester. My support blends emotional care, practical guidance, and household assistance to ease the transition into parenthood. I am particularly skilled in newborn care, including feeding, soothing, promoting safe sleep, and tracking developmentally appropriate milestones. I am also experienced with twins and have managed care for infants and toddlers in both private and program settings.
On a personal note, I am committed to empowering parents by offering evidence-based resources and fostering safe, supportive environments where every family can thrive with confidence.
My philosophy centers on acceptance, affirmation, and holistic, non-judgmental, practical support during this deeply personal journey. What draws me to doula work is a deep-seated belief in the critical importance of supported transitions into parenthood, a time of immense physical, emotional, and psychological adjustment for new parents.
My approach is grounded in processing and integrating an immense amount of information, research, and evidence-based best practices related to labor and delivery, postpartum care, infant development, parental well-being, and family dynamics.
Overall, my goal is to help every family move through this transition with the same acceptance, affirmation, and grounded support that defines how I show up for them.
