Hi my name is Nancy. I am a trusted leader and caregiver with years of experience supporting communities as a preschool teacher, preschool director, home childcare owner, mentor, community health worker, case manager, and Full Spectrum Doula. My passion lies in nurturing children, empowering parents, and strengthening communities through education, advocacy, and compassionate care. I am known for being supportive, dependable, and deeply committed to meeting families where they are while guiding them with respect, integrity, and heart. Having raised four children of my own brings deep understanding, trustworthiness, and compassion to every family and community I serve, no matter their race, color, religion, or origin.
My approach is rooted in respect, education, and compassionate presence. I believe every birthing person and family deserves to feel informed, supported, and empowered to make choices that align with their values, culture, and lived experiences. During the prenatal period, I focus on building trust, providing evidence-based education, and helping families prepare emotionally, physically, and mentally for birth. I take time to listen, answer questions, and support informed decision-making while honoring each family’s unique journey.
Throughout labor and birth, I provide continuous, calm, and affirming support. My role is to help create a safe and grounded environment by offering comfort measures, advocacy, emotional reassurance, and partner support. I work collaboratively with medical providers while centering the birthing person’s voice and choices. In the postpartum period, my care extends to the whole family. I support physical recovery, emotional well-being, infant feeding, bonding, and the transition into parenthood. I also prioritize partner support and recognize the importance of community, rest, and culturally responsive care during this vulnerable time. Overall, my philosophy is holistic and full-spectrum—honoring birth as a powerful life transition and supporting families with dignity, patience, and heart every step of the way.
