Hi my name is Valarie Bouchard-Hall, and I have been involved in the birth world professionally for over a year. Before stepping into this work, I spent many years teaching parent education and serving as the director of my own preschool. Even earlier, my journey into birth work began through my own experiences as a mother.

Hi my name is Valarie Bouchard-Hall, and I have been involved in the birth world professionally for over a year. Before stepping into this work, I spent many years teaching parent education and serving as the director of my own preschool. Even earlier, my journey into birth work began through my own experiences as a mother.
I have had three very different births, each of which gave me a wide range of experience and a deep understanding of birth and the early days with newborns. My first birth was a Cesarean section, my second was a vaginal birth after Cesarean (VBAC) in the hospital with an epidural, and my third was another VBAC—this time at home with a midwife. Each of these births was transformative and played a significant role in shaping who I am today, and they are a big part of why I am passionate about supporting families through the birth process.
My goal is to ensure that families preparing for birth have the information they need to make informed decisions about how they want their birth to be. I also believe that anyone who wants or is curious about having a doula deserves access to that support. Having continuous, compassionate support can truly make a difference in how you feel about and experience the birth of your baby.
I believe birth is one of the greatest growth experiences of a person’s life. Just as your body knows how to grow and develop your baby over nine months, your body also knows how to give birth. As birthing parents, we benefit from learning, preparing, and practicing how to let go and trust our bodies to do the work they were designed to do. Becoming as educated as possible helps you make empowered decisions for both your birth and postpartum period.
