Hi, I'm Winsome, a certified birth doula and founder of Doula Winsome LLC! I provide compassionate prenatal, labor, birth, and postpartum support to families throughout Southern California. I have a special passion for supporting Black families by providing culturally responsive, evidence-based care that promotes positive birth experiences and healthy outcomes, and this work is truly my calling. Trained through the Sankofa Birth Workers Collective and the Founded Beginnings BIPOC Community Doula Training Program, I am committed to empowering families with education, advocacy, and continuous support.
Whether you are welcoming your first baby or expanding your family, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey. My goal is to help every family I serve feel confident, supported, and empowered throughout their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience.
My philosophy is rooted in the belief that every family deserves respectful, compassionate, and evidence-based support throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. I am especially passionate about supporting Black families and helping address the disparities in maternal and infant health by providing culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and compassionate care. My role as a doula is to educate, encourage, and advocate so families feel informed, empowered, and confident in their decisions.
I honor each family's values, traditions, and birth preferences, whether they choose a hospital, birth center, or home birth. Overall, my goal is to ensure every client feels seen, heard, respected, and supported throughout their birth journey.
