Professional Boundaries

Doulas shall maintain clear, healthy professional boundaries with clients and their families. Doulas shall not:

  • Enter into financial arrangements, loans, or business dealings with clients outside the scope of their Raya engagement.
  • Solicit or accept significant personal gifts, or use the client relationship for personal gain.
  • Allow personal relationships to compromise the professionalism, objectivity, or quality of care.
  • Impose personal, religious, or political views on clients.
